Overview

This introductory course will teach you to connect ant behavior and treatment methods, identify different species, perform ant treatments, and solve problems using IPM practices. In Texas, this course is approved for one hour of General-Pest Features category CEU credit.

Course Information

Ants, being very successful social insects, generate more calls to pest control companies than most other pests combined. This class is for pest control professionals who want to learn more about controlling common ants in Texas.

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Articulate connections between ant behavior and treatment methods
  • Identify different species of ants
  • Perform ant treatment techniques
  • Solve ant problems using Integrated Pest Management (IPM) practices

Certification Requirements

In Texas, this course is approved to offer 1 Agricultural (General) CEU, and 1 Structural Pest Control CEU from TDA. To receive credit, you must pass the final exam with a minimum score of 70%.

Trainings may be enrolled in once every 3 years for renewing CEU credits.
