Overview

In this course, Early Childhood Educators (ECE) will be provided an overview of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) as they occur in the context of early childhood. ECEs will also be provided with strategies for managing the classroom and behavior of the individual child.

Course Information In this online course, Early Childhood Educators (ECE) will learn about autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and the symptoms that may be detectable from infancy through 3 years of age. This course will also provide you with tips to communicate with parents and address your concerns about working with children with autism. To better instruct children, you will be provided with classroom practices and ways to proactively plan for behavior management.
