Overview
Course Information Learning centers provide early childhood classrooms with a suitable environment where children can actively plan, try, pretend and make new discoveries. Truly effective centers help children grow in all developmental areas while having fun with peers. This online course develops an understanding of the purpose of learning centers and provides a step-by-step process of how to develop, build and manage a center. Effective learning centers do not just happen; careful planning is needed to integrate skills and concepts from curriculum, guidelines or standards. Also discussed are how the concepts can be used, organized, managed, and assessed. Funding for this 2-hour training course was provided by the Workforce Solutions as part of their Early Care and Education Quality Initiative.
