This course will help learners challenge themselves to identify the leadership skills they currently possess and the skills that are deemed vital to future success.

This course will challenges learners to identify the leadership skills they currently possess and those deemed vital to future success. The course will provide learners with the opportunity to explore leadership development goals through the creation of an individual leadership plan. This is course 8 of 8 in the Child Care Business Training courses.

By the end of this training, you will be able to:

    Science and young children are a great fit! How many times does a young child ask, “Why?” This natural curiosity is the precursor to all different types of inquiry and exploration. Everything is new and fascinating for young children. Building on that is such fun, for you and the children! This course may be included in the training hours needed for the CDA credential.

    After completing this 4-hour course, the learner will be able to describe how science supports development in the area of cognition, define and give activity examples for the categories of science and describe how technology can be used in a developmentally appropriate way in prekindergarten.

In the absence of qualified early care and education programs that offer nighttime care, these families may have to make challenging and precarious choices, choosing between maintaining their employment and leaving their children without the appropriate care.

    The purpose of this 2-hour course is to support early childhood program owners and directors through the process of incorporating extended hours of care, including overnight care, to support the needs of many families across Texas.
