Course Information
One of the most important responsibilities of infant and toddler caregivers is to keep children safe and healthy.
This 2-hour online course is designed to help caregivers:
- Identify and describe practical strategies for creating a safe and healthy environment for infants and toddlers;
- Identify proper sanitization methods for toys, materials, and surfaces;
- Identify ways to keep infants and toddlers safe during feeding and rest times;
- Recognize possible signs of illness in infants and toddlers; and
- Identify and remove, when possible, potential threats in the early learning environment that could lead to injuries.
This training course was developed and produced by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service of the Texas A&M University System in cooperation with the Texas Health and Human Services, Child Care Licensing Division, and using funds provided by the Texas Workforce Commission.
