Overview

This 2-hour course is designed for Child Care Health Consultants (CCHCs) to gain knowledge of learning environments that promote healthy nutrition and regular physical activity. CCHCs educate early childhood professionals about children's lifelong health eating and physical activity habits.

THIS COURSE IS ONLY AVAILABLE TO PARTICIPANTS WHO HAVE COMPLETED THE IN-PERSON PORTION OF THE CHILD CARE HEALTH CONSULTANT TRAINING PROGRAM. Child care providers play an instrumental role in providing children with the nutrients they need to grow healthy and strong, promoting opportunities for appropriate and regular physical activity, and helping children learn lifelong healthy eating and physical activity habits. 'Nutrition and Physical Activity in Child Care' is a 2-hour course designed to help Child Care Health Consultant (CCHC) trainees gain a better understanding of their role in helping child care providers establish an environment that promotes healthy nutrition and regular physical activity.
