The purpose of this online course is to help early childhood professionals adopt strategies to create and use quality outdoor play and learning environments. It addresses science-based best practices that can be applied in any care and early education program.
Once you have completed this course, you should be able to:
- Describe components of a quality outdoor learning environment
- Use your outdoor learning environment to promote health and development
- Design effective policies and educational opportunities
This course is aligned with the guidelines of the Texas Healthy Building Blocks recognition program. It was developed with funding from the Texas Department of State Health Services.
