The purpose of this online course is to help early childhood professionals adopt strategies to support children's development of healthy, active lifestyles. It addresses science-based best practices that can be applied in any care and early education program.
Once you have completed this course, you should be able to:
- Identify age-appropriate amounts of physical activity and screen time
- Effectively engage children in physical activity and screen time
- Design effective policies and educational opportunities
This course is aligned with the guidelines of the Texas Healthy Building Blocks recognition program. It was developed with funding from the Texas Department of State Health Services.
