Course Information
This course is a part of the larger Owning Your Piece of Texas course. The course examines the law regarding solar and wind leases in Texas. This will include a discussion of the key considerations when evaluating a wind or solar lease.
Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:
- Explain the importance of written leases
- Identify the types of contracts to which the Statute of Frauds applies
- List the three most common lease structures
- Access publications providing average agricultural lease rates for Texas
- Identify key terms to include in agricultural leases
