Course Information
This 2-hour course is part of a series of online trainings designed to help early childhood professionals gain a better understanding of how to create healthy, safe learning environments for preschool and school-age children with and without disabilities.
During this online course, we will discuss how to establish such an environment through daily practices that ensure the health and safety of all children and meet each child's individual needs.
The course objectives are:
- Articulate the importance of health and safety practices as the foundation for a high-quality learning environment
- Implement active supervision and infection control to maintain a safe, healthy environment
- Create an open line of communication with families and other professionals to ensure a child with special healthcare needs has an individualized health plan for your program
This training course was developed and produced by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service of the Texas A&M University System in cooperation with the Texas Health and Human Services, Child Care Licensing Division, and using funds provided by the Texas Workforce Commission.
