This course is intended for park and public works professionals, hourly workers, and volunteers.

Once you finish this course, you will receive a Certificate of Completion. The Certificate of Completion shows that you have completed the course, but do not qualify for continuing education credit, or CEU. A separate version of this course will be made available for CEU credit. Once the CEU version of the course is available, a link will be added here.

Course Information

This course aims to motivate you to design, maintain, and program parks and open spaces to enhance user perceptions. After you finish this course, you will be able to:

  • review key concepts related to perceptions and parks and open spaces
  • discuss key components of community approaches to enhancing perceptions of safety
  • brainstorm steps for applying these concepts in your community
