This 1-hour course is designed for Child Care Health Consultants (CCHCs) to gain knowledge of occupational hazards facing early childhood professionals and the importance of preventing and managing risks such as exposure to infectious diseases and environmental hazards, musculoskeletal injuries, falls, and stress.

THIS COURSE IS ONLY AVAILABLE TO PARTICIPANTS WHO HAVE COMPLETED THE IN-PERSON PORTION OF THE CHILD CARE HEALTH CONSULTANT TRAINING PROGRAM. Compared to workers in other occupations, child care workers are more susceptible to a variety of health and safety risks such as exposure to infectious diseases, musculoskeletal injuries, falls, exposure to environmental hazards, and stress. This 1-hour course is designed to help Child Care Health Consultants (CCHCs) gain a better understanding of the potential occupational hazards facing child care staff and how to prevent and manage them in child care facilities. Moreover, this course will provide CCHCs with information that can be used to assist child care programs in implementing effective health and safety policies.
