Course Information
Dealing with challenging behavior is one of the most difficult aspects of providing care for young children.
This 2-hour training course is designed to help childcare providers learn more about:
- why infants and toddlers use challenging behavior
- what they can do to prevent this behavior
- how to effectively respond when prevention is not enough.
Additionally, this course will specifically address challenging behavior in infants and toddlers with special needs, and how caregivers can respond appropriately and effectively. In essence, this course is designed to give child care providers the tools needed to understand, recognize, and respond to challenging behavior.
This online course was developed and produced by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service of the Texas A&M University System in cooperation with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, Child Care Licensing Division, and using funds provided by the Texas Workforce Commission.
