Overview
This list of plant species with the typical successional stages in which they occur is meant to be a guide to ensure a mix of seral stages is included when developing seed mixes. Plant succession is the plant community or seral stage changes that take place over time, influenced by disturbance, plant competition, soils, climate, geography, and past land uses. Therefore, plant species could potentially fit into multiple seral stages, but this list provides guidance on the most typical stage in which each plant species is found. (4 pages)
