Overview
Course Information The preschool years are a critical time of development and growth for a young child. This course provides a broad overview of four main areas of child growth and development: Cognitive, Language, Physical and Social / Emotional. It offers practical tips on how to support children's development through the early years. Key findings from brain research and how it is relevant to the care of young children is briefly explored, as well as introducing the principles of Developmentally Appropriate Practice (DAP). Funding for this 1-hour training course was provided by the Workforce Solutions as part of their Early Care and Education Quality Improvement initiative.
