This course is intended for current Texas Pullorum-Typhoid (PT) Authorized Testers seeking renewal of their certification.
You'll review key components of the PT Program, including sample collection, interpreting test results, handling paperwork, and maintaining biosecurity. The course also covers tester responsibilities under Texas regulations and PT Program expectations.

This course is intended for current Texas Pullorum-Typhoid Authorized Testers who are renewing their certifications.
This training is only open to those that received the registration link directly from the PT Program.
Course Objectives
- Explain why Pullorum-Typhoid testing is required in Texas
- Recognize which birds require Pullorum-Typhoid testing
- Apply correct procedures for collecting and testing blood samples
- Report test outcomes following program guidelines
Course Length
This course will take approximately 1 hour to complete. You can complete this course at your own pace. Your progress in the course will be saved if you exit AgriLife Learn. Once enrolled, you will be able access the course until December 31, 2025. After that date, your account will be unenrolled from the course.
Certification Renewal Instructions
Once you have completed the course, please send a signed MOU and your certificate to the PT Program. A new tester number will be emailed when your paperwork has been processed. If you have any questions, please contact the PT Program.
