Overview
Recent research conducted at Texas A&M University provides strong evidence that shallow wetland depressions on the Texas Coastal Plain are not closed systems. These headwater wetlands discharge into traditional navigable waters and are thus critical to maintaining the aquatic and ecological integrity of these waters.
