This course is designed as a support resource for individual students participating in the Veterinary Science Certificate Program: Preparatory Training for the Veterinary Assistant. It is designed to assist students as a supplemental resource. This course supports learning from the textbook for one student.

This course is designed for teachers, leaders, and parents to assist student learning for the Veterinary Science Certificate Program.

Course

This course is designed for independent student learning and administered by VSCP Program Staff. Students enroll and complete 100 lesson modules at their own pace.

Resources for Pet, Poultry and Livestock Owners Affected by Natural Disasters

This publication lists agencies and other organizations that can help locate missing pets and livestock, assist with carcass disposal, provide animal feed, and help in other ways after a disaster. There are phone numbers and Web addresses for each organization.

    Many youth in Texas do not have the facilities, funds or interest in raising a traditional livestock project. However, there are 1.2 million households in the state that have youth under 18 years old and own a dog. Mixed breed or purebred, registered or not, all kinds of dogs are welcomed in the Texas 4-H Dog Care and Training Project. 

  • Project

    The Texas 4-H Rabbit Project is offered to all 4-H members statewide. The project has three main components: pet, market and breeding.
