The Schleicher County 4-H senior wool judging team won the 57th National 4-H Wool Judging Contest in Sonora recently with a combined score of 1,809 points.
The contest and its sister competition, the 17th annual FFA Wool Judging Contest, highlighted the 80th annual Sonora Wool and Mohair Show June 13-15.
Winning Schleicher County team members were Sierra Forlano, Franklin Buchholz, Micaela Forlano and Emmie Mynatt. Sierra Forlano took high individual honors for the entire contest with a score of 625 points.
4-H is the youth component of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service.
