Aquaponics for hobbyists or commercial farms will be the topic for a workshop July 29 at the Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension Center in Overton. Following the opening session on a general introduction to aquaponics, the morning sessions will include information on homeowner and commercial systems. Following lunch, there will be a session on aquaponic system management, a question and answer session, and a tour of the aquaponics greenhouse at the Overton facility.
The event will be from 8:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. The fee is $40 per person or $60 per couple. Registration is available at https://agriliferegister.tamu.edu/Aquaponics, by calling 979-845-2604, or onsite the day of the event.
