Professionals in safety and risk management, human resources, benefits, health care and insurance are especially encouraged to attend a Jan. 16 workshop aimed to help workplace administrators implement and monitor employee wellness programs.
Building a Healthy Workplace: Research Meets Practice, lasts from 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. at the Great Wolf Lodge, in Grapevine.
Dr. Ninfa Peña-Purcell, assistant professor and family and community health specialist, will review methods for improving employee health and measuring results.
Registration, including lunch, is $95 by Jan. 5 and $125 after. An optional $150 workshop package includes training under AgriLife Extension’s Master Wellness Volunteer Training program – a statewide initiative to instruct Texans on teaching preventive health in their communities.
