Doing Business with Cuba, a workshop to assist various sectors of the agricultural industry with potential business and marketing opportunities, is scheduled for Jan. 23 in Austin.
The workshop will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Member Lounge of the State Capitol Annex, Room E2.1002. Topics include the Cuban market for agricultural products, export controls, licensing and shipping requirements.
“This program will help export service providers, food processors and distributors, as well as agricultural producers and policymakers better understand the Cuban market for U.S. agricultural food products and associated regulations,” said Dr. Luis Ribera, AgriLife Extension economist in College Station.
There is no fee to attend the workshop, but seating is limited.
