Pecan Growers Should Scout & Treat for Casebearer Insects
Now is the time for you as pecan growers to look for and possibly spray casebearer insects that pose a threat to your crop. The next 7 to 10 days are critical for you to be on the lookout for pest and spray for them if applicable. The most effective means of control is an appropriately timed application of insecticide that will kill the larvae before they can bore into the nut case.
