Dr. Jim Mazurkiewicz, director of the Governor Dolph Briscoe Jr. Texas Agricultural Lifetime Leadership program, part of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, was recently honored at the Texas State Capitol for his contributions to the state’s agricultural industry.
Mazurkiewicz was honored with a resolution by the Texas House of Representatives, read by TALL alumnus and State Rep. Cody Harris, R-Palestine.
The resolution recognized Mazurkiewicz for his contributions to Texas agriculture and the international bridges built between US/Texas and the European Union/Poland and Mexico.
Additional state representatives joining Harris were TALL alumnus Ernest Bailes and Kyle Kacal; Reps. Tracy King, Trent Ashby, Brad Doc Buckley, Charles Doc Anderson, John Rainey, Four Price and House Agriculture Committee chairman Drew Springer.
As director of the TALL program, part of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, Mazurkiewicz oversees curriculum that develops Texas leaders with emphasis on issues, theories, policy and economics that advances the state’s agriculture industry.
