Edwards County Junior Livestock Show Rules

July 15th:

• All Angora goats must be shorn on or after this date, in accordance with all spring major livestock show standard dates.

October 31st:

• All Barrows must be castrated
• Ownership deadline for all Swine, Angora, Market Goat, Market Lamb, and Rabbit projects
• Deadline for all major show and county validation for Market Goat and Market Lamb projects. Validation dates TBD.

November 9th:

• Ownership deadline for all poultry projects.

November 13th:

• No clipping of swine projects for at least one month prior to show

November TBD:

• All entry forms turned in to their advisor(s).
• County rabbit project validation
• Major show and county swine validation

December 6th:

• Market Lambs and Goats must be sheared from the knee and hock upon or before this date. Absolutely no shearing after this date.
• Mandatory barn cleanup day- 9:00AM
• Market lamb and goat shearing inspection deadline. 1:00PM

December 13th:

• Edwards County Junior Livestock Show- 9:00AM
