AgriLife Extension Service Office

The Frio County Extension Office as part of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, is a statewide educational agency and a member of the Texas A&M University System linked in a unique partnership with the nationwide United States Department of Agriculture’s Cooperative System and the Frio County Commissioners Court.

*All orders can be placed at the Frio County Extension Office or with AST Advisor. Payment must be completed at the time of ordering (cash only).

Upcoming Frio County Extension Programs

South Texas Peanut Growers Annual Peanut Tour – October 1, 2026:

This CEU program and field tour will be held on October 1, 2026, at the Frio County Extension Office located at 400 S. Pecan St, in Pearsall, Tx 78061. Come out and join us for a great morning to discuss peanut production in South Texas. You will also enjoy the opportunities to tour peanut variety & peanut herbicide trials at Tech Farms and G&M Farms in Pearsall, Tx. Registration will begin at 8:30am and the program will begin at 9am. Lunch will be served at 12:30pm. 3 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) will be given with a $10.00 (Cash Only) fee towards your Texas Department of Ag Private Pesticide Applicator License.
