Big Country Master Gardener Association

The Big Country Master Gardener Association (BCMGA) is part of the Texas Master Gardener Program, a volunteer initiative of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service. Our mission is to share research-based horticultural knowledge with the community while promoting sustainable gardening and environmental stewardship.

BCMGA members are local volunteers who have completed specialized training through AgriLife Extension. In return, they give back by teaching gardening classes, supporting community and youth programs, maintaining demonstration gardens, and assisting homeowners and organizations with research-based solutions.

Together, we help make Taylor County a greener, healthier place to live by growing not only plants—but also knowledge, connections, and community.

Get involved! Whether you’re interested in attending a program, volunteering, or becoming a Master Gardener yourself, BCMGA offers many ways to dig in and grow with us.

Join us for our monthly library programs or Saturday Seminars throughout 2026. See bcmgtx.org for all the dates.
