The IIAD International Epidemiology & Surveillance Training Program consists of face-to-face, online, or independent study modules and short courses. The program consists of thirteen modules and provides trainees with foundational information and skills to support agricultural public health. The information is presented in a series of PowerPoint presentations with speaker notes, exercise activities, and evaluation materials.
1. Animal Health Disease & Surveillance
This two-week short course provides a short overview of animal health disease & surveillance. It consists of a five-module short course to provide trainees with foundational information and skill to support developing and implementing a surveillance plan. Topics are taught through face-to-face or video recorded online lectures.
The course includes 52.45 hours of lectures, exercises, and evaluation materials. All participants will receive printed study materials and answer sheets. General topics covered in the course include:

The course provides a short overview of epidemiology. An eight-module course for U.S. based training activities provides mid-career international veterinary scientists with foundational skills in epidemiology. Topics are taught through face-to face or video recorded online lectures.
