Water well owners in Texas are independently responsible for monitoring the quality of their wells and are at a greater risk for exposure to compromised water quality. Well owners who want to become familiar with Texas’ groundwater sources, water quality, water treatment, and well maintenance issues should join the Texas Well Owner Network (TWON) offered by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in cooperation with the Texas State Soil and Water Conservation Board (TSSWCB) and other partner agencies and organizations.
TWON educational programs include:
‘Well Educated’ Day Session
Well Educated courses are full day course about water wells. You may also have your well water screened at each course.
‘Well Informed’ 1 Hour Session
Well Informed sessions are 1 hour sessions where you may have your well water screened.
