Overview

This 1-hour course exposes learners to information regarding The Texas Watershed Steward (TWS) Program. Students will learn about the importance of water, the role of watersheds in the water cycle, and much more. Students have the option of obtaining school credit for this course.

This 1-hour course teaches kids and youth interested in watersheds more about:

  • the Texas Watershed Steward (TWS) Program
  • the importance of water
  • the role of watersheds in the water cycle
  • Texas watersheds
  • impairments of water quality and quantity
  • testing mechanisms and regulations surrounding Texas water
  • protection programs
  • and Best Management Practices (BMPs) in agricultural, urban and small-acreage, and residential settings.

Students have the option of obtaining school credit for this course.

This online course will teach you how to properly maintain and operate your ATU. You will have 30 days from the day you register to complete this program. If you do not complete the program within this limit, your registration will expire, and you will need to pay the registration fees again to start over.
