Overview
In 2017, the strain of Fusarium wilt of cotton caused by the fungus, Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. vasinfectum Race 4 (FOV4), was confirmed in cotton fields in El Paso and Hudspeth counties in Texas. Cotton producers in that area have reported substantial yield losses with this disease. This publication explains the cause and symptoms of the disease, how the pathogen spreads, and control measures. (2 pages)
