Overview
The crape myrtle is a popular woody ornamental. Its deep green foliage and bright-colored blooms last throughout the summer and its interestingly textured trunk accents the landscape in winter. Despite its usual hardiness, some leaves may turn grayish-white in the spring and fall--often a sign of powdery mildew.
