Healthy rangeland begins with strong principles. This short, self-paced course brings it back to basics with a straightforward look at the six soil health principles and foundational grazing management practices.
Whether you're new to rangeland stewardship or just ready to take a fresh look, you'll gain the tools to assess, plan, and care for your rangeland with purpose and pride.
Course Objectives:
Once you finish this course, you'll be able to:
- List and explain the six soil health principles,
- Evaluate and monitor rangeland to plan appropriate actions,
- Base future management decisions off of soil health assessments with TXGLC and USDA-NRCS technical assistance,
- Define soil health and its role in ecosystem function,
- Understand and apply grazing management practices to achieve specific soil health principles.

- To earn your completion certificate, you must watch all required videos and complete the post-course survey. The final 'Conclusion' folder will unlock once the course presentation has been fully viewed.
