The Uvalde Research and Extension Center houses scientific research, public outreach and educational programming as well as houses the District 10 Office.

The Uvalde Research and Extension Center is home to research programs in the following key five areas:

  • Vegetable production and physiology
  • Systems plant physiology
  • Breeding and genetics
  • Cropping systems and physiology
  • Wildlife Disease Ecology

The center also houses the Southwest District 10 Office. County extension agents provide educational resources and also conduct result demonstrations and applied research across the district.
