Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service District 6 Office serves the residents of the 23 counties that make up Far West Texas. The district encompasses a region that stretches from the western edge of the Edwards Plateau to the far western Texas edge of the Chihuahuan Desert.

The district serves these residents through the presence of County Extension Agents who are housed in 21 of the 23 counties. County Agents offer educational programing in every county throughout the district. Programming includes environmental systems management, encompassing air and water quality, food, feed and fiber production, animal nutrition and health, and natural resource conservation and protection.

4-H and Youth Development is a cornerstone of personal development for youth to reach their full potential. Our outreach programs and services provide quality, relevant, real learning for real life for the people and communities in the district.
