- Program
The Texas A&M AgriLife Center uses livestock guardian dogs (LGDs) as part of our routine sheep and goat predator management. Our goal is to increase the understanding and use of LGDs by cooperating with the small ruminant ranching community to develop research and educational activities that reduce livestock wildlife conflict. The purpose of this page is to share information to the ranching community and the general public pertaining to our program.

The Lone Star Healthy Streams program aims to protect Texas waterways from bacterial contamination from livestock operations and feral hogs that may pose a serious health risk to Texas citizens.

The Texas AgriLife Fecal Egg Counting, FEC, lab performs accurate roundworm egg counts, including Haemonchus Cortortus, for sheep and goat producers.

The horse project is a great way to be able to gain valuable experience and skills through engaging activities like showing and horse judging. There are so many great skills learned through this program.

Discover secrets behind how your food is processed in the meat science project! You will learn how to identify various cuts of meats and determine the quality. As you discover science-based information about meat, you will be able to judge the quality and retail value of meat.

Become a nature watcher! Learn to tell the difference between different types of fish and animals by learning about animal species.

The sheep project teaches youth to care for live animals while learning about animal health and nutrition, breeding, selection, and marketing.

- Tools and Apps
The TickApp for Texas and the Southern Region has been developed to provide citizen consumers and professional practitioners with a convenient guide to the identification of ticks impacting humans, livestock, companion animals, and wildlife.
- Service
In addition to providing training for certification for noncommercial pesticide applicators responsible for mosquito control in Texas, the program also provides recertification for licensed applicators.

The TAMMI website is an electronic informational clearinghouse, developed and designed with a mission to provide agricultural waste management education and information on demand.
