Overview

This course is the first of four sections of the full Veterinary Science: Independent Study Curriculum. It contains the first 6 chapters.

Course Information

Veterinary Science: Independent Study Curriculum is designed for independent student learning and administered by VSCP Program Staff. Students enroll and complete lesson modules at their own pace. Section 1 includes 6 Chapters & 27 lessons. This course is the 1st of 4 total sections required to complete the course. This course section once completed fulfills 50 hours of classroom time of the 200 hours required for the VSCP Veterinary Assistant designation from Texas A&M AgriLife. On average most students can complete this course in 6 months.

Each lesson module includes:

  • a veterinary science lesson
  • prerecorded teacher-led video
  • printable note sheets
  • automated quiz
  • and activity to be submitted online

Hard Copy for Student Materials

In this course, you will find all the resources you need including videos presentations, note-taking handouts for those presentations, and online books for each topic. You will need to purchase a print edition of Veterinary Science: Preparatory Training for the Veterinary Assistant.
