Overview
Growing wine grapes is labor intensive. Vineyard owners need options that address a chronic labor shortage during critical growth stages. Labor has become more expensive and increasingly scarce, especially for the small-acreage vineyards that do not have enough work to justify employing an employee year-round. This factsheet discusses a project that assessed labor and equipment limitations, risks, and benefits of different cost-sharing options in vineyards. (8 pages)
