Overview

This course is designed to assist pest management companies in training new employees. By taking this course, apprentices and other employees will have the opportunity to receive 20 hours of in-depth training required by the Texas Department of Agriculture Structural Pest Control Service.

Course Information

This online training course is designed to assist Texas pest management companies in training new employees. It is also useful for untrained personnel from local and state governments, industry, and institutions (such as school districts) who will benefit greatly from participation in this course.

By taking this course, apprentices and other employees will have the opportunity to receive 20 hours of in-depth training relating to the 20 hours of 'classroom' training required by the Texas Department of Agriculture Structural Pest Control Service, or SPCS.

This structural pest control training course covers topics such as:

  • Applicator certification and licensing
  • State and federal laws
  • Environmental protection
  • General safety
  • Entomology
  • Pesticide mode of action
  • Pesticide label comprehension
  • Application equipment
  • And Integrated Pest Management (IPM)
