Learn required and recommended practices for child care homes that remain open during the COVID-19 pandemic in Texas. This online course reviews safe and effective cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting methods for reducing the spread of the virus that causes COVID-19. Information from key agencies, such as Texas Health and Human Services Commission and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, will be provided.
Specifically, course participants will learn the following:
- how contact with chemicals commonly found in cleaning and disinfecting products may be harmful
- how to identify ingredients considered safer
- how to reduce the risk of harm while effectively using chemical products to destroy the virus
Information presented in this course will help you develop and put in place a plan for cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting to help reduce the spread of COVID-19. It will also help you protect children, staff, and those living in the home from harmful chemical exposures.
