Overview

Although developmental domains are frequently discussed in isolation, that is not the way children learn. Development in one domain impacts the other domains. Children should be engaged in high-quality developmentally appropriate activities that teach multiple areas at one time. After completing this 1-hour course, the learner will be able to describe how the integration of activities has a positive impact on children’s learning across the domains and create activities that address components in multiple domains.

After completing this 1-hour course, the learner will be able to describe how the integration of activities has a positive impact on children's learning across the domains and create activities that address components in multiple domains.

After completing this training, participants should be able to:

  • Describe the benefits of and strategies for integrating across domains when planning learning experiences for young children; and
  • Identify and generate examples of integration across the early learning curriculum.

The development of this online course was 100% funded by federal Child Care and Development Funds from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, as part of an $8,000,000 grant from the Texas Workforce Commission.
