Would you like to grow big onions? Or would you like to learn new recipes that feature onions? Curious if anything else can be done with onions beyond onion rings? On Friday January 24th from 12:00 to 1:00 pm the Gillespie County Extension Office will beholding the first of their 2025 Grow It Cook Program series on onions. Come learn different ways to cook prep and onions, as well as tips for growing them too. Recipe samples and special onion transplants included with the program.
Grow It Cook It Onions is only the first of the 2025 lineup of Grow It Cook It programs. If you are interested in signing up for the series, the other two programs will be Green Beans on March 21st and Melons on May 2nd. All programs will include recipe samples and trial plants or seeds. Cost for the program is $25 dollars if you sign up for the program series, $15 per program. Online registration by credit card is available at ticketleap at Registration Link. An additional fee is attached to online registration. Otherwise sign up for the program in person via check or cash at the Gillespie County Extension Office, located at 38 Business Court in Fredericksburg.
