After a Disaster: Information to Help You and Your Family Recover

This training discusses Phase 3 of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act as it relates to economic assistance for agricultural operations.

This course explains the distribution of the CARES Act Funding to state and local governments, small businesses, homeland security, healthcare providers, labor, education, and arts organizations, justice and police departments, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, agriculture and food programs, and education institutions.

Maintaining the health of young children – and setting them up with lifelong healthy habits – are critical elements of a quality early childhood program. This course provides an overview of the Texas Healthy Building Blocks recognition program for early care and education settings that have demonstrated a commitment to promoting early childhood health. It is aligned with the guidelines of the Texas Healthy Building Blocks recognition program.

This course will review some of the key practices early childhood educators can use to implement farm-to-table strategies in early care and education settings. It is aligned with the guidelines of the Texas Healthy Building Blocks recognition program.

Children identify a problem, use stuff to make stuff that does stuff to solve the problem. Learn about research related to engineering design with preschoolers and ideas/activities to encourage and support children in becoming junior engineers. Planning, building, and testing out are the engineering skills of the future.
