Course Information
Although developmental domains are frequently discussed in isolation, that is not the way children learn. Development in one domain impacts the other domains. Children should be engaged in high-quality developmentally appropriate activities that teach multiple areas at one time.
After completing this 1-hour course, the learner will be able to describe how the integration of activities has a positive impact on children's learning across the domains and create activities that address components in multiple domains.
After completing this training, participants should be able to:
- Describe the benefits of and strategies for integrating across domains when planning learning experiences for young children; and
- Identify and generate examples of integration across the early learning curriculum.
The development of this online course was 100% funded by federal Child Care and Development Funds from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, as part of an $8,000,000 grant from the Texas Workforce Commission.

Creating healthy habits is a critical element of quality early childhood programs. This course reviews practices that promote physical activity in young children. It is aligned with Texas Healthy Building Blocks recognition criteria and was developed with support from the Texas Department of State Health Services.
