Overview

Infants and toddlers engage in challenging behaviors as a way of communicating that they have unmet needs. Enroll in this online course to learn how to recognize, understand, and develop responses to these types of behavior as well as working with a team to fully assess and address challenging infant and toddler behavior.

Course Information Infants and toddlers engage in challenging behaviors as a way of communicating that they have unmet needs. This 2-hour online training course is designed to help child care providers recognize, understand, and develop responses to these types of behavior. This course emphasizes the importance of identifying the meaning of behavior and of working with a team to fully assess and address challenging infant and toddler behavior. Content used in this training course was obtained, with permission, from the Center on the Social and Emotional Foundations for Early Learning at Vanderbilt University. This course was converted into an online format by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service of the Texas A&M University System in cooperation with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, Child Care Licensing Division, and using funds provided under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
