Learning environments and intentional teaching are key aspects to any successful early childhood program. Home-based child care has unique settings and specific requirements to ensure the daily activities are conducive to positive learning outcomes for children in your care.
This 2-hour course is for prospective home-based child care business owners and will introduce high-quality learning environments, intentional teaching, and multi-age activity planning in a home-based child care setting.
Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:
- Apply principles of child development to assess children's current abilities and select appropriate learning goals
- Design safe, engaging learning environments both indoors and outdoors
- Implement schedules, routines, and activities that promote children's learning
- Interact with children in a positive, supportive manner.
