Overview
The hemp market has generally fallen into three basic categories, whether for the health and wellness components of cannabidiol/cannabigerol (CBD/CBG), seed grain/seed grain oils and fiber for textiles, or bioplastics. However, a new use for hemp could be as a micro-green vegetable since the plants are edible and possibly offer nutritional phytochemicals. This publication describes a sensory taste panel testing three cultivars of hemp and one juiced hemp product, providing insight into hemp's market potential as an edible micro-green.
