This 2-hour course is part of a series of online trainings designed to help child care providers and directors gain a better understanding of how to create an inclusive child care environment for preschool and school-age children.
In this online course, we will explore how sensory processing, sensory integration, and sensory processing disorders can affect a child's daily activities and overall development.
The purpose of this course is not to diagnose a child with a disorder, but rather to become educated in how to help children with sensory issues.
This training course was developed and produced by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service of the Texas A&M University System in cooperation with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, Child Care Licensing Division, and using funds provided by the Texas Workforce Commission.
