Overview
Using these journals, students will record observations from the garden, as well as analyze information presented in the classroom during food tastings, instructional lessons, and gardening activities. The garden journals are tools that encourage students to communicate through various writing conventions including narrative, descriptive, and expository. They also encourage writing across academic disciplines in the content areas of science, math, social studies, and health.
