What is BattleGround to Breaking Ground?
Battleground to Breaking Ground (BGBG) is a 4-phase program developed for military veterans, active military, and beginning farmers and ranchers to start production agriculture businesses. The project offers online business planning courses, hands-on training, and online agriculture production courses.
BEFORE you enroll in this course to complete the application, please watch the BattleGround to Breaking Ground Overview video to understand the commitment required to participate in BGBG.
This online course is the application to waive the $600 tuition for the BattleGround to Breaking Ground Traditional Program, which covers Phase 1, 2, and 3.
Participants will read the Program Introduction, Program Expectations, Program Agreement, and complete quizzes covering these 3 areas as well as complete a BGBG Traditional Program Application and submit 3 Letters of Support.
If you wish to participate in BGBG and prefer to skip the application process, you can go directly to the Traditional Program - Battleground to Breaking Ground and enroll. Tuition payment is required at the time of enrollment.
We also offer a Skills Training Program for transitioning military.

The County Tax Assessor-Collector (TAC) is by statute the registrar of voters. Upon completion, Tax Assessor-Collectors will be able to describe duties for voter registration, understand the purpose and procedures for using and reporting of Chapter 19 funds, and list items that can and cannot be requested under Chapter 19.
